Results:— PROFESSIONALS. W. HcEwan beat J. A. Clemenu, 1 up. The piny wus very consistent throughout, the competitors being with bogey all tb* Ume. At the 10th. hole, Clements was just off the edge of the green with his second. Be bUim4 tils third,' McEwan winning the hoi* la 5, making him 2up and 3to play. Pitying to the last hole both got good drivel, and found llio green with their seconds. McJßwaa's thVrtl waa 4 feet from the hole, and Clements' 18 Inches. McEwan holed htl putt, but Clements missed, losing the game, 1 down. R. C. Butters beat J. Watt, 1 up. Th# play was very moderato over tho first half. Towards the lost. Watt came oa his game, just being beaten on the last green. AMATEURS. Third Round:—Kapl Tareha (Napier), beat R. M. Goorge (Auckland), f> up and 3 to pity. Tareha was 111 good form, his approaching and putting being well up to the standard. He won the first six holes. George lost his ball at the stli. The game ended at the 13th., which Tareha did In 5, making hla total (5. H. E. Crosse (Napier), beat D. McComtck (Auckland), 7up and sto play. McComack's driving was rather poor, and he left himself 100 much to do round the hotel. Tho play all round was consistent.
Imlay Saunders (Wungangni), boat W. O'Callaghan (Bawera), Gup and 4to play. The winner covered the first half of the coarse in 41, and finished at the 14tli In 80. A. D. S. Duncan (Wellington), teat S. Morpeth (Waihi), 4up and 2to play. A big crowd followed this pair. Throughout both drove well, but the putting was not good, particularly Morpeth's. At the flry hole h# missed a three feet putt, giving Duncan the liole In 5. Duncan was 2up at the 7th hole. Morpeth at the 15th. missed an 18-lnch putt, thus giving Duncan 3 up. The 13th was halved In r>, and Morpeth approached the llith badly, giving Duncan the hole and Die uiatch.

A. D. S. Duncan beat Imlay Saunders, T up rind sto piay. Duncan again played well Ho won the Ist hi r>, but lost the 2nd, where he-had three putts on the green. A good put won Duncan the 3rd, in 3. The 4th, Saunders won in 4, against 5 bogey. Duncan holed the putt in three at the Oth. The 6th waa halved, and Duncan won the next two. The 9tb, Duncan holed out in 4. The 10th was haired in 3, and Duncan won the 11th In 5. Duncan won at the 13th hole in 5. MEDAL COMPETITIONS. In the afternoon, a medal competition was played. The two best cards were handed in by Ranger and Miller, who divide the prises. The final for. the prolesatonal championship, In which McEwan anil Butters, meet will t>e started at 9 -SO o'clock to-raorruw morning. Duncan and Crosse will commence ten mlnuteß later to play off Uie amateur championship. WITIQiIA CLUB, The final round of the Medley Cup competition was played on Thursday, ajld resulted in G. N. IMghton winning with 103— handicap 48—ICu. To-morrow a four-ball match will bo played. On Thursday next the ladies will play a flap match, entrance fco Cd, choose own opponents. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB.
