The Allies have decided to send an ultimatum to Houmania to comply with their demand, or they will break oil diplomatic relations.—Aus. NJS. Cable Assoc. The Echo de Paris states that, owing to Roumania not replying to the Allies' notes, the Supreme Council is discussing rigorous measures, Including tbe rupture of rolatidhs. ■ The Petit Parisien states that Boumania refuses to sign the Austrian treaty, owing to two clauses introduced fct President Wilson's instance. One toneerni the provision of ethnical and religious minorities, and the other relates to the Allies regulating treaties regarding commerce and railways which Bosinania might establish in future. The Roumanians resist the external Kontwl of their tariff and exports, claiming commercial independence in view of Qte country's vast economical resources. , •-Aug. N.Z.
