The redistribution of portfolio* con* sequent on the Appointment of now members to the Ministry is now eon* plate. The Rt. Hon. W. f.MMaej, Prime Minister, retains 'lndustries and Com." merce, Labor, and the Electoral Depart* ment, and he also takes'' Railway! and the Police Force. Sir James Allen retains Defence, and takes in addition Finance, Stamp Duties, Land and Income Tax, and State Guana* teed Advances Departments. He will retain war Pensions, which has always previously been considered part ot too, Defence administration.
The Eon. W. H. Henries retain* Native Affairs and takes in addition Customs and Marine, Inspection of Machinery, Pensions, and National Provident 7ud| and will still be chairman of the Kepatri- \ ation Board. j Sir William Fraser retains PubUeß Works, and takes also Mines, Btadtf, Legislative Departments, and V\it9 Buildings, "'' W Sir Francis Bell retains the offie*t ot Attorney-General, Commissioner of State Forests and Minuter for ImndgaiMai, and he becomes also Minister for M«t|. tion, Public Health, Hospitals and Charitable Aid, Mental Hospitals, ana Valuation. The Hon. G. H. Guthrie will tab no new portfolios, but he will keep Lands, Lands for Settlement, Soldier*' Land Settlement, and Scenery Preservation. < The Hon. J. B. Hine will be Minuter, of Internal Affair*, and will take alio ■ the Departments of Friendly Societies, State Fire Insurance, and Printing and Stationery. * The Hon. W. Noswortuy will be 1 Minister of Agriculture, and will hare charge also of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts. < The Hon. J. Coates will be Minuter of Justice and Postmaster-General, and, be will tako charge of the Public Trust > Office and of Government Life and Accident Insurance.
