EVERYBODY'S. , NORMA TALMADGE IN "HER ONLY WAY." Miss Norma Talmadge is the new star r.t Everybody's to-night. She is appearing in "Her only Way," it stirring drama, in which a'girl is asked to suddenly choose between work and matrimony. Evidently she prefers marriage, but she take's the wrong mnn for her husband. So she passes through many misfortunes until the Divorce Court ia reached There are three strong incidents in the story. In the first the heroine meets the man who is going to d sturb her peace. The second is useful in a divorce suit, and the third is a fine piece of poetic justice. Of this picture an American critic writes; "The revival of classic dancing in the present generation is one hopeful sign that the o!d, stupid Puritan notion about art is disappearing. Pictures are a new sehicle for combating the destructive doctrines of prudery. Dancing has taken its place as one of the features of the silent art. One of its most capable exponents is Norma Talmadge, as she proves beyond all manner of doubt by tie whirlwind special features she in-

tioduees in the new select feature 'Her Only Way."' Another episode of "The House of Hate" also shows on this programme.

THE PEOPLE'S. ' "THE CRUISE OF THE MAKE BELIEVE." The child phenomenon in American vaudeville, Miss Lila Lee, made an appearance at the People's last night in the new head-liner, "The Cruise of the Make Believe," and created a very favorable impression- The story of "The Cruise of the Make Believe" is a romantic one, with a tinge of pathos and a touch of

hi'mor. The events and the course of a young slum girl's life are the main factors in the talc, and things are very piomising indeed when a young sdciety hiillionaire falls in love with her. It is a pretty story, engaging and absorbing. A fine Mack Sennett comedy, Pictograph, and the "Railroad Raiders" are also shown. A special matinee will be held to-morrow commencing at 2,30,

THE EMPIRE. ANNETTE KELLERMAN IN! "QUEEN OF THE SEA." Annette Kellerman, champion swimmer and favorite screen actress is the amphibious star of the William Fox super-production, "Queen of the Sea," which comes to the Empire Theatre for two days beginning next Friday. Miss Kellerman's unique talents, both as a thespiaii and natatorial artist, are well known to the picture-loving public I from "A Daughter of the Gods" and other aquatic productions. In 'Queen df the Sea" she plays a naiad in a submarine fairy story designed to display her abilities as a swimmer and liighdivcr in the most spectacular and sensational style. The picture is packed with thrilling stunts and dramatic situations, and' the hair-raising qjimax is a scene where Miss Killcrman, walking a wire 85 feet in the air, is suddenly precipitated into the water by the severing of the slender strand.
