THE RARAWA. The Rarawa had a rough trip down from the north on Monday night, and did not reach New Plymouth till 7.30 am. yesterday.. She sailed again for Onehunga at the usual time last night, and is due again to-morrow morning.
THE ROSAMOND. Tho Rosamond is scheduled to make anntber trip to New Plymouth, being due here from Lyttelton about tho end of the week.
MAHENO AMD MAUNGANUI. The work of dismantling and refitting the Union steamers Maheno and Maunganul is still proceeding at Port Chalmers, but it -rriil he several weeks before either vessel will bo ready for sea service. It is proposed to build an extra deck aft on tho Malieno. The work of converting the Maunpimul's furnaces to burn oil fuel has been commenced. Before the war the Maheno was employed in the SydneyAuckland passenger service, and the Maunganul in the Sydney-Wellington trade. No arrange* meats have yet been made in regard to the future movements of tho Maheno and Maunganul.
