Cable Assn. YORKSHIRE WIN CHAMPIONSHIP. London, Aug. 31. Yorkshire won the county cricket championship, Kent was second, Nottingham third, and Lancashire and Somersetshire fourth. There was much interesting cricket during tho season, but the standard was somewhat below pre-war form. Many young and promising players made their debut in,first class cricket and there is no lack ot good men for foe test team nest year. The chief weakness was In bowling, especially the absence of fast bowlers.
