CARSON'S ULSTER CAMPAIGN. REVIVAL OF UNIONIST CLUBS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 1, 8.15 p.m. London, Sept. 1. Much interest is taken in Sir E. Carson's campaign in Ulster, which is opening at Belfast to-morrow, where Sir E. Carson unfolds his plans to the Ulster Unionist Council. The proposals include the revival of Unionist Clubs, which in 1912 automatically became battalions of Ulster volunteers. PREVENTING SMUGGLING OF ARMS. London, Aug. 31. The Dublin correspondent of the Daily Mail states that the authorities have learned that a camouflaged Sinn Fein ship filled with arms is about to arrive at an Irish port. All the coastguards and port officials have been warned to prepe.re to seize the crew and cargo.— Times Service.
THE VESSEL ARRESTED. Received Sept. 1, 0.35 p.m. London, Sept. 1. Two destroyers arrested a British steamship outward bound from London and took her to Cork, where a destroyer and the police and military are guarding her.
