CANTERBURY DEFEAT HAWK£'S BAY, (By Telegraph.—Per Press"Association.) . Christchurch, Last Night. The hockey match, Hawke's Bay v. Canterbury, was won by Canterbury by two gnals to one Towards the end of the first spell, Hawke's Bay, hoaded by Land, put up a determined ettack and a pass to Jaeobion enabled the latter to find the net. In the second half, a penalty in the circle gavo Canterbury an opening, and a scramble ended In TbrOp pushing the ball Into the net. Soon afterwards a fine pass by Patrick enabled Holland to register a second goal for Canterbury.
