Constable Dowling, of Wellington, has been notified of his transfer to New Plymonth.

A Wellington message Btates that it is understood Mr. R. W. Gibbs, manager of the Dunedin branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has been appointed auditor of the bank, vice Mr. B. M. Litchfield, who shortly retires on superannuation.
