WORK AND WAGES.
"GO SLOW." By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Confirmation has been obtained of the statement that the Huntly miners have decided to go slow. At a stop-work meeting held yesterday, it is understood •that two ballots were taken, one oh the question to strike and one on the question to go slow. The strike proposal was rejected, and the proposal to "go slow™ was carried by 2TO votes to slightly over 70 against jt. In a report issued Sy the r.nion to-day no mention is made of the above information, but it is stated the employers' offer was unanimously refused. Dunedin, Last Night. The Daily Times is informed that the miners at Kaitangata were advised today to adopt the "go slow" policy from Monday next. It is understood the proposal will also affect Wairio, Nightcaps, and Green Island miners. The feeling amongst the Kaitangata miners appears to be divided, and it is expected that some men will follow the advice and some disregard it.
