POOR DEMAND FOR TALLOW. By Telegraph.—P.-ass Assn—Copyright. London, Aug. 27. Tallow.—The sales wero held uj owing to the poor demand.
INGLEWOOD STOCK SALE. Mr. Newton King's Inglewood yarls wero well filled on Wednesday with cattle of all sorts, and quite a number of representatives from outside districts were noticed about the town. The prices obtained were' good, there being a very noticeable inquiry for all good-conditioned cattle, and dairy cows and heifers especially brought high prices. Fanners situated handily to the markets appear to be show'rig a strong preference for yearling and two-year heifers, as compared with steers of the same a?es. The groat prices being obtained for springers aro no doubt responsible.
