DEPARTURE OF TTALTAN GRENADIERS.

AFFECTING SCENES. By Telegraph.—Press' Assn.—Copyright. , Received Aug. 2S, S.io p.m. Rome, Aug. 28. Remarkable scenes at Fiume were occasioned by the departure of the Italian Grenadier*, who have occupied Fiume since the armistice. A woman drew a large tricolor across the street, and then knelt and implored the soldiers to remain. The demonstration deeply affected the officers and men, who were compelled to force their way through the crowd, shouting: "We will return whenever we are heeded."—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
