TARANAKI TROTTING CLUB. MEETING OP COMMITTEE. A meeting of the commltteo of the Taranakl Trotting Club was held on Wednesday evening. Mi 1 . A. W. Webster presiding. There were also present: Messrs. W. C. Weston, H. S. Brool;man, C. M. Gray, M. Jones, E. Whittle, C. Fairbrother, T. llichards, and W. Oonejllcld. It was decided to apply to the New Zealand Trotting Association for a permit to hold a meeting on February 7, 1920, and the secretary was instructed to telegraph the Minister of Internal Affairs bringing under his notice the club's application of Juno 11 last year for a totallsator permit, and the reply received thereto; also pointing out that. ;lie date for the first meeting has been fixed for February 7, and trusting that tho application would be given every consideration. Copies of this telegram will also be forwarded to the Hon. 0. Samuel and members of Parliament in the Taranakl provincial district. Tho secretary was Instructed to write to tho Te Awamutu Club conveying best wishes for the success of its first meeting. The secretary reported thut ho had visited liiglowood on a recent sale day and had enrolled a number of new members. It was decided to hold meetings of the committee on the last Wednesday of euch month.
