(By Telegraph.—rer Press Association.) Wellington, Last Nignt. Present indications arc for northerly winds strong to gale, backing to southerlles soon, northward of ICawhla and East Cape, and easterlies to south-easterlies elsewhere. Further rain Is probable generally, heavy in many parts, with rivers rising and snow an the liigßor levels of the South Island. The barometer Is falling, but will rise after about twenty hours.
