TARANAKI LAND VALUATION.

HAWERA'S GREAT INCREASE. The Government valuation of the Eawera Riding of the Ilawera County Council, just completed, increases the capital value from £1,050,94(1 (1012-13 valuation) to £1,037,330. The boundaries of the Hawcra riding are the Abattoir Road along the South Road to the Waihi Road; thence along the Waihi Road to Glover Road to the railway to kormanby, and along the Onewhia Road to the Waingongoro River. It follows Hie river to the Skeet Road, thence n'ong the Skeet Road to the Palmer Road, and follows down that and the Inaha Road to the sea coast. The Mokoia valuation also shows a material increase, roughly about 4."> per cent.; the Ilawera figures show a much larger percentage of increase.—Star. j
