SUPREME COURT.
NAPIER SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Aug. 25. In the Supreme Court Wiremu. Honotapu, on five charges of forgery and uttering, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. Karaha Kerei, on similar charges, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. William Kierr Crombie, solicitor's clerk, was ordered to come up for sentence for thefts amounting to £159 4s. Katherine Yates Noblett, charged with making a false declaration with regard to the birth of a child, was ordered to be detained till the rising of tiie Court. Vincent Edward Carrig and Arthur William Witt, for the theft of a motor car, were sentenced to two years' and one year's reformative treatment respectively.
Napier, Last Night. James Sche'ele, late hospital board secretary, was sentenced to three years' reformative treatment for the theft of about £I4OO from the board. He had pleaded guilty and given the police and auditor every assistance.
