PROFITEERING BILL.
A PEW DETAILS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Aug. 24. The Board of Trade announces that the Profiteering Act will be administered by.— (1) A central committee representing the Government, chambers of commerce, employers, employees, trade unions, and co-operative societies, which will investigate the costs and profits of manufacturer*, and wholesale merchants. (2) Local committees appointed by the municipal councils to investigate specific complaints against retailers. (3) An appeal tribunal in each county appointed by the Board of Trade to hear appeals from the decisions of local committees.
