WHEAT SUPPLY. Received Aug, 21, 9.30 p.m. Chicago, Aug. 20. The visible wheat supply is 40,161 bushels. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE PRODDCE MARKET. Christchurch, August 10. Thero are few changes ln tho produce market since last report. Owing to the difficulty of getting supplies of fowl wheat from the country, stocks in store have been practically depleted, and up to 6s, at country statiofis is being offered for further supplies. Oats remain the same in value, but for oatsheaf chaff buyers are only offering 6s at country stations. Red and white clovers are very Arm at late rats. Peas are practically ail In the hands of merchants, and there aro few offering by growers. Partrldgo peas are worth 7s Gd to Bs, and White Ivories Ss at country stations. There Is a better Inquiry for potatoes, prices being firm at £8 10s to £8 15s at country stations. i ADDINGTON. Christchurch, Aug 20. At Addlngton market to-day, the yarding ol stock was not very large In any department except In fat sheep and store cattle, the latter showing ' a considerable Increase over the sales for weeks past. Store sheep, especially ewes and ewe hoggets sold at an advance on late sales. Fat shep, of course, were riot up to sales of Ihe double market a fortnight ago, but sold at an advance on the prices ruling on July 30. The quality of yarding was, however, very moderate on the, whole, a considerable proportion being unfinished. There was only a limited demand for store cattle, and few sales were matin at auction, but some business was done privately. Good drv cows sold well, and there was a keen demand for the few vcalers penned. Pigs of all classes sold well. Store sheep: Two-toolh ewes, 30s 2d fo 3Ss; 4 to 6-tooth ewes, to 3fls 6d; 4. 6, and 8-tooth ewes, 23s lOd to 31s 7d; 4 and 6tooth wethers, 32s 8d to 34s lOd; 6 and 8tooth wethers, 33s 3d to 34s Gd; ewe hoggets, 32s 6d; wether boggels, 27s 3d; mixed sex hoggets, 21s 3d to 30s 3d. Fat sheep: Prime wethers, 50s to 60s; medium wethers, 38s to 40s 6d; unfinished wethers, 31s 3d to 73s 6d; extra prime ewes, to 535; prime ewes, 38s to 455: medium ewes, 30s to 37s 6d; unfinished ewes, 23s Od to 295; hoggets, 23s 9d to 38s Cottle: Extra prime steers to C 32 15s; prlmo steers, £22 to £27 2s 6d; ordinary steers, £lO 13s to £2l 10s; prime heifers, £l4 4s to £l6 7s Od; ordinary heifers, £0 10s to £ll 10s; extra prime cows, £ls to £lB 15s; ordinary cows, £8 10s to £l4 10s Store cattle: Three-year steers, to £0 lis; 2-year steers, £4 12s 8d to £7 15s; threeyear heifers, to £7; dry cows, £4 12s fid to £7 15s; dry cows, £4 12a ,6(1 to £7 15s; dairy cows, £8 to £l7 10s. BURNSIDE. Dunedln, Aug. 20. At Burnslde market to-day, 150 fat oattlo were yarded. Competition was keen, and prices well up fo late rates at the commencement and firmer towards tho conclusion. Prime bullock 3, £25 5s to £2B 12s 6d; medium to good, £lB 10s to £22; light and unfinished, £ls to £l7 ss; prime heifers, £ls 10s to £lB 15s; medium to good, £l2 15s to £l4 15s; light and aged, £lO 10s to £ll 10s. Fat sheep (1200 penned): There were only a few pens of prime heavy, the majority being medium quality. Prime advanced ss, anq medium about 2s 9d, and inferior Is to la Od, compored with lust week, but prices fell away somewhat towards the finish. Extra prima wethers, 65s to 7.2s 6d; prime. 55s to 625; medluni to good, 46s (id to 525; light and unfinished, 34s to 38s. Only a few pens of ewes were offered, realising 30s to 37s 9d A small yarding of pigs met a ready sale, at an advance on late rates.
