Received An?. 20, 12.20 a.m. Washington, Aug. 19, According to official advices from Pekin, Britain and China have reached an agreement regarding Tibet, whercbv China will grant autonomy to Tibet while retaining the sovereignty.. Therefore China will he relieved of the burdensome task of maintaining- order in Tibet, and Britain's desire for the maintenance of Tibet as an autonomous buffer State will be realised—Aus.
