HOMES FOR SOLDIERS.
REPATRIATION BOARD'S SCHEME. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. At a meeting of the Wanganui Repatriation Board to-day it was unanimously resolved, in view of the urgent and insistent demand for homes for soldiers,' and the great disappointment and diesatisiaction occasioned by the long delay occurring under the existing method of Uovernment administration: "That this board again urges that repatriation Boards be empowered to arrange for the purchase of houses for returning men, under similar conditions as they now grant advances for other purposes." It was urged that, if these recommendations were approved, the Government would virtually have to carry little or no riak, as the security would be ample, promptitude would be assured, and all cause for dissatisfaction would be removed. It was stated that In this district men have had to wait many months without reeult, and others had got sick and tired of waiting and gone elsewhere.
