m PAY AND ALLOWANCES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wellington, August 11. Defence Headquarters has .laid.down a scale of pay and allowances for all qualified medical .practitioners, officers of the New Zealand Medical Corps, who have been retained for duty in . Nev Zealand during demobilisation. The pay ranges from £205 a year for an nn- ', married Second Lieutenant, to £750 a year fur an unmarried Colonel, with a professional allowance of £382 5s a year in all cases. An addition of from ; £45 to £55 a year is made to the pay in the ea/ie of married officers. Tin i total of pay and allowances is as fol- ( lows:— j Harried.
