THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF "A 'PAIR OF ' CUPIDS." V The big Metro success, "A Pair of Cupids," presenting Francis. Bushman and Beverley Bayne, screens finally tonight at the People's. This is an excellent comedy-drama, and the 'Metro kids, John Henry and Mary Anne, lend endless amusement to the story. DOROTHY GISH TO-MORROW. To-morrow's new bill presents the popular star, Dorothy Gish, who has joined Paramount in "Battling Jane," her first picture for this company, EVERYBODY'S. KITTY GORDON IN "TINSEL." An up-to-the-minute picture with a novel theme is the World film, showing at Everybody's entitled "Tinsel." The star parts are played by Kitty Gordon as the mother and woman of the world and Muriel Ostriehe as the unsophisticated daughter with Frank Mayo as a social waster who sets out to treat the daughter as he has already treated so many unsuspecting girls who have trusted him. The mother is well aware of his intentions but believes it wise to let the daughter realise what danger folly can lead a trusting woman into. The story is wel Hold and worked up convincingly to the climax where the daughter Slaving agreed to visit the man at his apartments lindn herself in his arms. It is then that the mother arrives just in time and saves the girl for the man who honestly loves her. The settings are of the most, ornate kind and show society life at its most wilful state of luxuriousness. The dresses axe in keeping and the acting is very fine throughout.
