At n special meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council, it was decided to accede to the strong representations made By the Napier Club and revert to the original dates for the New Zealand '•r.mplonship meeting. The meeting will oik .1 on September 1, and last for a week. LADIES' INTER-CLUB MATCH. HAWERA v. NEW PLYMOUTH, The ladles' inter-club match, Hawera New Plymouth, which was plqye don the Wa: Wakalho links this morning, resulted in a wl for New Plymouth by 5 games to 4. petal of the piny are as follow, the Jlliwera ludlt being mentioned first:—Mrs, McLean was beaten by -Miss Bundle, snd 1. Mrs. French was beaten by Miss Gavin, and 5. Miss Glen was beaten by Mrs. Johns, fi an 4. Miss Cnplen was beaten by Mrs. Wiuto, and 3. Sirs. Kimtieil beat Miss Read, 7 ond 6. Mrs. N. C'aplen beal Miss Hollo, 1 lip, Mrs. Page was beaten by Miss Thomson, and 7. Mrs. Candy beat Miss Goldwater, 3 and ! Mrs. Glusson boat Mrs. C. H. Weston, 5 and * A putting competition, for prizes presente by Mrs. Walker, was won by Mrs. McLear Hawera. On Tuesday next, the ladles will play bogey match—Sonlors and Juniors—to choos own opponents.
