COUNTY LOAN PROPOSALS.

POLL ON ROAD LOAN, Yesterday's poll taken on the proposals of the Taranaki County Council to raise loans totalling £45,500 for tar-scaling the main roads, does not appear to have attracted a large number of ratepayers, but it is pleasing to note that so far as the returns to hand arc concerned, that the loan was carried, as it is not thought the remaining returns in the Waitara and Okato ridings will affect the result.
