A NEW ZEALAND SQUADRON.
STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Yostorday's cable message, from London stating, on the authority of the Paily Express, thnt negotiations were in progress between the Admiralty .and New Zealand for the formation of a squadron for the Now Zealand station, was brought under the, notice of the Prime Minister to-day Mr. Massey replied that there were no negotiations, adding: "While in Paris I had an opportunity of talking over the i\aval question with the First Lord of the Admiralty, and also the First Sea Lord, but nothing that took place then could be described as negotiations"
