There wns a good yarding of fat cattle ct Burnside, 193 being penned. The quality was fair. Prices opened about 10a below last week's rates, but towards the end of the sale receded almost 10s more. Prime bullocks, to £25 15s; medium, £lB 10s to £2l; light and unfinished, £ls upwards; extra prima heifers, to £2O 15s; prime, £ls 15s to £l9; others, from £lO 10s. There was a medium yarding of fat sheep, 1743 being penned. Only a proportion were really prime. Prices for good slieep were about equal to last week's rates, but unfinished wethers and aged ewes were slightly easier. Extra prinio wethers, 49s Gd to 555; good, 42s to 475; medium, 3Ss to 425; light and unfinished, 32s upwards; primo ewes, 34s to 39s Od; medium, 28s to 325; light and aged, 22s upwards. There was a medium entry of pigs, the prices being firm. Heavy baconers, 120s to 1455; light, £5; porkers, 55s to 70s.

At Rahotu on Ist lust., cattle came forward in fair numbers, practically every pen being cleared at the hammer. I also offered a dairy herd on account of Mr lvapo. These; although containing many backward sorts, meeting witli a good sale. At Pukengahu on 4th. tnst. I sold by auction a dairy herd on account of Mr F. J. Kelly. The cows proved a very oven lino, in good condition, buyers in attendance buying with confidence. The herd of C 3 averaged .£2O 8s; best cows made from £2O to £3B; backward sorts, fill to £ls. At Leppertori on sth inst. I conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr E. 11. Hamblyn. The vendor's herd comprised cattle mostly of his own rearing, in good condition and showing a fair percentage of Jersey. Buyers attended in big numbers, a good sale resulting.
