MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of far Ma» B*|A Board wns held at Inglewood on BtlaMM, when there were present: Mesas. A. Mitt (chairman), J. Hunter, A. Cowley, J. M. Mr. J. H. Lyon, D. Todd, and T. S. Bonier. OVERSEER'S RETORT. Mr. R. P. Gray, orertieer, repomd that crushing, rollowln? and maintaining had bsen carried out on various roads. The Bristol and Knlmata North Heads were In bad condition, being worn out and requiring a considerable amount of attention. The extra cement, shingle, and reinforcing bad been delivered tn the Kurapeto Bridge. Keren chains of road bad received 84 yards, and the balance was used for patching. B. Domliroakl aud' Mr. Perrett, sum., had assisting in obtaining 14 yard* of pit blinding flee of charge. An attempt hod been mode to haul boulders from the Durham ltoad West, but owing to the wet weather and flooded rivers had decided to leave the road until later on, as he bad learned since that there was over, 3000 cords of wood to lie carted down tho road. It was ;it present In fair order, and there was amplo maintenance metal to keep It in repair for n considerable time, It hivlni recently been pntched and water-tabled, Me, Patching, water-tabling, ac,. had been carried out at the Durham East, Lincoln, Tork, Everett, Bristol, Ivairaata South, Motukawa, Rataplko, and Richmond Roads. The plant was at present in the Dudley Bond West crushing und rolling Two hundred and twwitjseven yards had been crushed, 114 of which was contract, and >ll3.hauled by settlets and tho Board. There was approximately 206 yards yet to be crushed. The Dudley Road settlers were very energetic indeed. Some days there were plenty of men, und at other times there wero none at all As soon n» that road was completed, he proposed bringing the plant In to be overhauled Thirtyfour pipes had manufactured during the month; -1 hud been used for the Board'* work, and 21 sold to the Inalewood Borough' Council. There wete 168 pipes on hand. , '

A. Offlror waited on the Board, and complained about the state of the top end of tho Norfolk r.oad, which wax absolute lippassnblo during the winter. Ho asked that the Board visit the road A drain would bo nocessary, and settlers would be prepared to find one-third of the cost. Tho chairman stated It was recognised that tho road was In a had state, but, unfortunately, the land was low valued and produced very little rates. Messrs. Darnell (2), Brereton, »nd Butler, settlors on the Bedford Road, waited on the Board In connection with the erection of two bridge*. Discussion ensued «s to the tvp# of bridge to be erected, and It waa ultimately decided that the engineer prepare sketches and estimates respectively of a concrete bridge and brldue with concrete piers with timber superstructure. These will be rob. mltted to the settlers Interested, and after their decision, steps will bo taken to raise the necessary loan. The engineer reported that the bridge over the Kurapete, on the Everett Itoad. was almost completed.
