ITALIAN PEACE PROBLEMS. A SETTLEMENT REACHED. B; Telegraph.—Press Aaan—Copyright, Received Aug. 10, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Aug. 8, A settlement of the Adriatic and other Italian peace problems has been reached. Italy agrees that Fiume, Gara, and Bebenico shall be free cities, the port of Fiume to be internationalised. She will also abandon all claim to Dodecanesa Wands and Smyrna. Italy, in return, has received the Aidin, Koni'a, and Adalia triangle in Asia Minor, including the Meander Valley.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. AFGHANISTAN. TERMS OF THE TREATY. Received Aug. 10, 5.5 p.m. i Simla, Aug. 8. ■flic Afghan peace treaty provides for the stoppage cf all importation of amis and munitions into Afghanistan through India, and confiscates the arrears of subsidy granted to the late Amir and the subsidy to the present Ainir. By the treaty it is agreed that Britain shall receive another Afghan mission six months hence for the discussion and settlement of various matters. The Afghan Government accepts the IndoAfghan frontier accepted by the late Amir, also an early demarcation by a British commission of the undemarcated portion of the line we«t of Khyber, where the recent Afghan aggression happened, and such boundary as the commission may lay down. British troops are to remain in their present positions until the demarcation has been effected.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Association.
