A meeting of the general committee of the iSlrar/ord A. and P. Association, was held on Saturday. There was an attendance of seventeen members, and Mr. Dingle (president) occupied the chair. A letter was read from the New Zenland Pig Breeders' Association, requesting that no entries be accepted for the pig classes unless registered or eligible (or registration in the llerd Book. It was stated 'that the object was to improve the pig-breedmg industry, and this was in accord with the aims of the A. and P. Association. Manawatu had agreed to the proposal.—lt was decided, in order to meet the Pig Breeders' Association, to give effect to their wishes, but to have another class for grade pigs. The following members wore elected: R. S. Dagg, J. Callaghaii. A. Bretherton, G. Wheat-ley, W. C. O'lieilly, E. Cutlield, H. W. Cleland, and K. Wood. The schedule for the show was fully discussed, and a number of minor and a few important alterations were made in order to bring it up-to-date.

It waß decided to give a champion ribbon for the open hunters' competition. In place of the hunters' competition for financial and active members of a recognised hunt club, as last year, it was decided to have ft maiden hunters' competition, owi\era to ride their own horses. All pedigree stock in the cattle section are to be placed together, to be followed by grade classes. Three rest seats, which for the present have been placed in the large corridor or entrance to the Borough Council Chambers, have been presented to the Thorough Council bv Messrs Newton King. Booth,Macdonald & Co., and Cr. Cameron.
