SOCIALISTS IN CONFERENCE.
PRESIDENTIAL ADDREsI By Telegraph.—Press Aisn.—Copyright. Received August 6, 11-40 p.m. Berne, August 3. The chief business at to-day's session of the International Socialist Conference was the presidential address, wherein the president referred to a probable social upheaval and the need for revision of the peace treaties, the Allied intervention in Russia, and the nationalisation of industry. Regarding Russia Mr. Henderson urged the conference to withdraw all support from these reactionary adventurers. Mr. Henderson expressed the belief that the railways, mines, and minerals in Britain would very shortly become public property.—Reuter.
