JAPANESE ATTACKED.
BY CHINESE SOLDIERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 5, 8.50 p.m. Washington, July 31The Japanese Embassy has-announced that Chinese soldiers attacked a Japanese military detachment at Kuancehenghu, in Manchuria, killing sixteen soldiers and wounding seventeen others. The Chinese Government apologised for the incident, and dismissed the commanders of the* Chinese forces involved, reprimanding the Government of the province where the Incident occurred.—-Aus.-N.Z.
