AUCTIONED IN FRANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 4, 8.15 p.m. London, July 2. The Australian Surplus Board auctioned 07ii3 horses in France nt an average price of £35. One thousand five hundred and forty-three inferior animals were sold to butchers at an average price of £l7. nnd 1400 superior to the Belgian Government at £65. The War Office ia taking over 7000 Australian horses and 3000 mules in Egypt.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
