COAL STOCKS. VERY SHORT AT MINKS.' By Telegraph.—Press Astociation. Greymouth, Last Night. With reference to the .statement made by Mr W. A. Young, general secretary of the New Zealand Seamen's Union, that there were thousands of tons of coal on ( the West Coast waiting" to be taken away, after making exhaustive inquiries throughout this district it* is {dear the abovo statement is quite erroneous, as there are absolutely no stocks "in the coal bins of the various mines, and it is a common' occurrence' for steamers at this port to he delayed awaiting* coal, being often compelled to sail short-loaded owing to coal not being forthcoming. / ""»
