THE EARAWA, The Rarftwa arrived here at 6 a.m. yesterday from Onehunga, and had a large passenger list. She left again at 7 30 last night, and returns on Saturday morning. THE CORINNA. Information received Indicates that the Corinna is expected to leave Wellington to-night, and should arrive here about 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. THE KARAMU. The collier Karamu left Greymouth on Tuesday, and calls at Farewell Spit to obtain salvage material required In the refloating of the Kowhai. The Karamu has a cargo of coal for Onehunga and this port, but the exact date of her arrival here Is not known. NGATORO AND NGAHERE * The movements of these steamers arc also not certain, but they are expected here early next week. HARBOR LAUNCH. The Harawa brought from Onehunga to-day a small oil launch, which will be used in connection with the harbor scheme. The launch will be used to convey men and material to Moturoa, where a quarry will be opened. Local woterslders refused to work the Joan Craig, a vessel carrying a non-union crew, and the vessel Is now being discharged by the crew. BAD WEATHER AT NAPIER. ~ . , Napier, July 31. The weather continues very stormy. A heavy gale and rain commenced last night, and continued to-day. The Arahura, from Glsborne and Auckland, was unable to berth at the breakwater, and passengers were not landed. The Tarawera is also in the roadstead. The Tangaroa left for Walroa last night, but returned to Napier after a couple of hours having received a severe buffeting in the bay. The rivers are In high flood, and are still rising rapidly.
