CRICKET.
MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. By Telegraph—l'resa Association. Chrlstchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night It was decided to recommend to tho council that an Invitation be extended to tho South Australian Association to send a team to New Zealand next season, and, in the event of South Australia being unable to send a team, that the council be authorised to communicate with the Australian Association with a view to sending an Australian team to New Zealand. It was agreed to recommend the Otago Cricket Association to endeavor to arrange a visit of a team to play a North Otago eleven at Oamaru during the forthcoming season, with a view to stimulating interest in cricket there. A member asked for information re the adoption by the Canterbury Cricket Association of the eight-ball over, and how this rate would affect' representative matches. The chairman said this woukL be a matter of pre-arrange-ment between the captains of the representative teams.
