I BRITISH STATESMEN LEAD THE I WORLD. By Telegraph.—Press AMnCopyright. Capetown, Jul.y 24. Genoral Botha landed nnd had an enthusiastic welcome. He said the peace terms were onerous, and he thought soma of them unnecessary, superfluous, and impracticable. It now depended oa the Germans themselves. If they honorably intended to carry out the conditions he jult certain difficulties would bo removed. After paying a tribute to ,tho attitude of the British Statesmen, who, he said, led the world, he appealed to the people to discuss their with calmness.
