MOROCCO MASSACRE.
SPANISH SOLDIERS AMBUSHED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Tangier, July 25. A witness of the recent fighting describes how the Spanish column of 170 was entrapped and massacred in tho ravine. Benian spies warned Raisuli of the approach of the troops, and tribesmen disguised in Spanish uniforms Hurled small German poison bombs, and many Spaniards fell insensible. The tribesmen, protected by gas-masks and using daggers, leisurely completed the slaughter, mostly by cutting H-roats. Only ten Spaniards escaped; the commander committed suicide. Raisuli heavily defeated another collimn of GOO mixed Spanish and native troops which was attempting to attack Beuhaman. The column lost its transport, and the wounded suffered terribly owing to the scarcity of ambulances.— Times Service.
