PIERROTS' DAY.

SUM OF £331 RAISED. The New Plymouth Pierrots brought their days of activity to an end on Saturday, when they made an effort on behalf of the soldiers' hostel. Business was confined to raffles, ho,op-la, affd ,the Rale of a number of surprise envelopes. The PieiTots on deck for the final rally were Messrs Flanagan, Brascn, Mace, Jenkins, Abbott, Kenny, Duckworth, Bennock, Sadler, Wilson, Rnmson, Houkin, Lovell, Webster, and McLeod. A beautiful lady's companion Ret, donated by Mr. Teed, realised' £37 lis-, « marble clock, donated by Mr. Cock, £l3 I Is; rooking horse, donated by Mr. Corrigal, £2O 13a; boy's motor car, donated by Mr. Byrn, £l7 12s. Burgess for the New Plymouth soldiers' hostel. The expenses were nil, the Pierrots defraying the cost of advertising and all other charges ou,t of their own committee funds.
