MINE-SWEEPING OPERATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press .Association. Auckland, Last Night. The mine-sweeper Marguerite arrived from Wellington at noon to-day. She will commence a Eearch for mines off the Three Kings after being docked. STOPPAGE OF WELLINGTON TRAMS. Wellington, Last Night. The dty service was held up twice on Saturday, for half an hour at 3 p.m., and for an hour and twenty minutes at 9 o'clock, on account of low steam pressure on one of the boilers at the tramway power-house. It is alleged that the cause of the trouble was the poor quality of the coal used. Great public inconvenience was caused by the stoppages, particularly the second one, which occurred when a great number of people In town desired to get home.
