Misses Thomson (2), Corkill and Baily had the arranging of ,the proceeds of which were given to those in charge of the Bwcet stall on St. Mary's Mart Day, the whole funds for that day being devoted to the Peace Memorial, and the rebuilding of the Sunday school. Mrs George, whose excellent music was much appreciated, gave her services as a donation to the cause. The supper table was decorated in wattle and was most effective. The chaperones were Mrs C. Denny-Brown and Mrs L. N. Webster. A very enjoyable fancy dress social was held by the Mascot Social Club in the Good Templar Hall, on Tuesday evening. The hall was well filled with dancers, sixty couples being present. A sumptuous supper was provided by the ladies of the committee, and the music, which was supplied by Mrs George, was everything a good dancer could wish for. The proceeds from the dance will be donated to the Returned Soldiers' Hostel.
