By Telegraph—Pres3 Association. Wellington, Last Night. Present Indications are for strong and squally southerly winds In and southwards of Cook Strait, and moderate to strong southerly to westerly winds elsewhere; further cold and changeable weather Is probable generally, with heavy showers In the northern and east coast districts of the North Island, and about Foveaux Straits. The barometer will rise, but will bo fulling in the South shortly.
