MEETING OF N.Z. EXECUTIVE By Telegraph.—Press Association. Chrlstchurch, Last Night. I At a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association, the Nelson Association forwarded a challenge for the shield, and applied for a date for a match against the holders (Wellington). It waß decided to reply that a match will be arranged if possible for the Nelson team, but there were already four challenges ahead of Nelson. • It was decided that the opinion of the various associations should bo sought on the advisability of holding an inter-Island match this season or next. A challenge from the Felldlng Association for the Nordon Cup was received. AVOCA v. HIGH SCHOOL A. Teams representing the above clubs will meet at the racecourse at 2.45 this afternoon. Tuc.se chosen to play for Avoea are: D. Barry, B. Allen, M. Healey, N. Jury, R, Whittle, E JJleiby, D. Healey, Betty Allen, M. Hart, 0. Callaghan, B. Mucdonald. Emergency: Z. Brawn.
