Expert electrical engineers agreed that, from an inspection of the main distributing switch after the fire, they were of opinion that the switch could not possibly have been turned on at the time. In giving his decision, Mr. Bailey said that the fire originated in the centre of the front of the building, but there was no evidence to show how it originated. The evidence negatived any suggestion of faulty electrical installation, and he was of opinion that the firo did not originate from that cause.
