AGAIN ABLAZE. AFRIDIS ATTACK BRITISH COMMUNICATIONS. By Tolegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 21, 10.30 p.m. Allahabad, July 20. The i\fpiian frontier is again ablaze by the outbreak of the Afridis, who are attacking our lines of communication in Khyber, via Chora. The enemy captured a hill occupied by our pickets, inflicting serious casualties on the British. A continuation of these attacks will involve the employment of large forces to guard communications. It is significant of furthw developments that the Commander-in-Chief is about to visit the army on the frontier. —Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn. THE AFGHAN TROUBLE, BRITISH CONVOY CUT UP. Simla, July 19. The enemy attacked a British convoy which was proceeding to Fort Sandemau on the Iflth., inflicting heavy Irises. 'L'ho ofliccf commanding the escort and four other British officers were killed, and two wounded. There were a hundred casualties among the Indian troops. The convoy was eventually forced to retiro to Borbar. The enemy subsequently .rejoined the large concentration camji near Kapip.
