.WELFARE LEAGUE'S BEPLY,TQ LABOR, By/Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, July IS. The Welfare League lias issued, a reply to the Hon. J. T. Paul's reply to the previous manifesto. It refers to the gratuitous assumption that the Labor Party as present controlled is representative of sane Labor, and asks if Mr Paul expects the country to believe that ,the accredited leaders of his party are not men who have openly expressed disloyal opinions and avowed sympathy with revolutionary doctrines, The avowed opinions of the leaders of the Labor Party would make it ruinous for the electors to commit the government of the country into their hands. The reply also contends that in the previous manifesto the just aims and aspirations of Labor were adequately recognised. It contends that it is significant that no practical suggestion has come from tlie Labor Party to remedy the existing condition of industrial unrest or the deliberate system of limitation of output, which is so disastrous to the progress of the country. Un.til the party disavows direct action and revolutionary principles the leaders must remain under the stigma of desiring industrial unrest for class purposes. The reply criticises ,the sincerity of the Labor Party's sudden solicitude for the welfare of the small, farmer.
