WAITARA.
(From Our Own Correspondent). The football match between Clifton and Star played on the camp to-day landed in a win for Star by 17 points to 9. In the first half Clifton had rather the better of the game, and were leading at half time by 6 points to nil —a try scored by T. McKoy and a goal from a mark by Coleman. In the second half Star had much the better of the game, scoring twice before they had played 10 minutes. Then Clifton kicked $ goal from a penalty given for off side i play on Star's part. 'During the last 20 minutes Star secured three tries and converted one, making their score 17 to Clifton's 9. The win was a much better one than the figures indicate, as Stat scored five tries, whereas Clifton secured only one try. At the last Clifton were quite demoralised and S,tar scored as they liked. The s.s. Armagh's loading is expected to be finished to-morrow night or on Saturday morning A Repatriation Board has been constituted in Waitara. The members are:— Messrs. R. Morgan, R. Gribbon, Rev. Gavin, T. Taylor, R. H. Pigo.tt (Urenui), P. Watkinson (Lepperton), H. Richardson (Uruti), and G. Husc. The Minister of the Repatriation Department has asked the mayor, to call a meeting to elect a chairmen and secretary. When this is done all necessary information will be forwarded. It is proposed to call a meeting after the peace celebrations are over.
