Stanley, Hughes, HamUng, Manu, Spouce, Smith. Tukapa bad tha advantage of the first spell, and nearly scored on one occasion. Later Boswell made a nipt opening, and the hall travelled from R. Olifflr to H. Oliver, the latter scoring and the major points. Manu was responsible for Star attacking early in the second BpeU, Mrt Tukapa cleared, and Boswell, securing about half-way, feinted cloverly and streaked for the Inlc, scoring a nice try, which H, OUfer narrowly missed converting. Thus the game ended: Tukapa, 11; Star, nil. Mr. h. Humphrey refereed. The next bout was between Old Boft (Winyard, McDopald, Throssell, Sole, Hughes, Egfteton and Corklll) and High School (Whittle, Brown, Harrison, Bruckebusli, Osborne, Atkinson and Smart). School easily prerailed in tills match. Attacking from the start, Htartson neatly found touch at the cornor. Whittle was nearly over from a passing bout. School forced the ball over the line, Wynyard secured, and was running out when ho lost the baiL Smart acored, Osborne kicking a poster. High School passed prettily. Kmart secured and scored, Osborne coaling. In another passing bout Brown transferred to Whittle, who gathered up at top speed, outpaced tho opposition and scored, OsDorue main goalhig. The spell ended: School, 13; Old Jloys, nil. In the second spell 014 Boys ahowed out much better, McDonald on one occasion collaring two men. Eggletou also showed good' footwork, and carried )>lay to School 25, where Hughes picked up and shot across lo Eggleton, who got orgr but was called buck. School again gained the upper hand, and after a nk'o passing bout Harrison gathered up and ran In, Osborne goaling. High School put up a great fight, and their opponents owe their victory to tho fine line-kicking of Oliver Boswell and Prior, and good goal-kicking.
