CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL. ptBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance and exercise oi the powers vested in the Council by the Counties Act 1908 and Rating Act 1908, it is the intention of the Clifton County Council at its nest meeting to be held on FRIDAY,' August I,' 1919, to make a levy under Section 117 of the Counties Act 1908 and in accordance with Section 48 of - the- Rating Act 1908, a General Rate of twopence and one farthing (2}<j) in the £ on the capital value of all rateable properties within each of the rid'ngs of the County of Clifton, namely, the Mokau, Urenui, Tikorangi, Waihi and Nga+imaru Ridings, .such General Rate to be for the year ending March 31,1920, and to be payable in one instalment on the 31st day of August, 1919, at the. office of the Clifton County Council, West Quay, Waitara, where the rate boo* is open for inspection during office hours. COUNTY OF TARANAKL HEAVY TRAFFIC PROHIBITED. pUBLIC notice is hereby given that all heavy traffic on roads within ,th« County of Taranaki is prohibited during the months of May to September inclusive. Heavy Traffic means the transportation of any vehicle, engine or machine which itself or together with any load transported thereon, weighs more than one and a-half tons to each pair of wheels of such engine, vehicle or mathine.
