DETAILS OF THE TRIP, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 17. The following official message has been received from the Tutanekai dated July 10: The Governor-General has completed his Island tour and the Tutanekai is now homeward bound via the Kerrnadees. The visit to Niue surprised and gladdened the local residents, whose food supplies had not been replenished since !Npvcmber. The schooner Ilcnriette, which anchored two (lays previously, brought up supplies. Tho jSiueans, however, were in good health. On arrival at Vavau, the Tutanekai berthed for the iTrst time during tho whole month at sea. 'i day being Sunday there were no public functions. On arrival at Pagopago salutes and official calls were exchanged, and their Excellencies ( and the Hon. Dr. Poiqare were afterwards the guests for two days of Governor Terhune. The others were billeted with various Americans and naval officers. At noon, there was a saluc of 17 guns, simultaneously by the Tutanekai, the shore battery and the gunboat Fortune, to celebrate peace. The entertainment include'd a baseball match, tennis party, reception, and ball at Government House. The cordiality of the welcome and the hospitality waa most marked.

The official landing at Apia was most spectacular, A dozen Native boats, 50 feet long, some manned by fO oarsmen and garlanded from end 'to end with ropes of greenery and flowers, escorted his Excellency to shore to the accompaniment of a royal salute from the Tutanekai. The Administrator welcomed their Excellencies' boat on landing, and the local garrison mounted a guard of honor_at the official reception at the Courthouse. Their Excellencies and Dr. Pomare were guests of the Administrator at Vailima. There were motor drives eastwards and westwards and visits to the largo plant.itions, h,' eluding one at Mulifanua, stated to be the best and largest in the world.
