Tho Ktitawa commenced the discharge of her cargo of 1300 tons of coal yesterday, but it is unlikely she will get away before the holidays. THE ICARU. The Karu was engaged yesterday discharging 350 tons of general cargo, and is expected to sail for Tarakohe at about noon to-day. THE BADEN POWELL. The Baden Powell was expected to arrive from and Picton last night or early this morning. THE RUAHINE. The departure of the Ruahlne has been de« ferred until August 5, and the final ,port of call will be Wellington. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa arrived early yesterday morning from Onehunga, and left again for the north at the usual time last night. MOVEMENTS OF UNION COMPANY'S VESSELS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Moana left San Francisco on July 1, for Wellington, via ports, and Is due at Wellington about August 1. The new steamers Waikawa and Waihemo, each of about 9000 tons deadweight, which were purchased by the Union Company recently, are expected to leave Englnnd in September and October respectively. The Australasian Is to enter the Pacific Coast—New Zealand—Australian trade in conjunction with the Waimarlno, Walliora, Kurnw and the new steamer Waintno. Captain- J. Thomson", master of 'the Waihemo when that vessel .was sunk by the Germans during the war, will leave Sydney shortly for England to take command of the Waikawa. P. & O. AND ORIENT COMPANIES. Tho Peninsular and Oriental and Orient Companies hope to resume their regular mail and passenger services in September on a pre-war footing. Jt Is impossible to fix the steamers definitely yet.
